What's the difference between matcha and green tea?

Both are green tea, but matcha is the whole leaf ground to powder that you whisk and drink, while regular green tea is whole leaves you steep and discard. Why matcha is stronger
With steeped green tea you throw the leaves away, so you only ever drink what dissolved into the water. With matcha you whisk the powdered leaf itself into the cup and swallow all of it — so more caffeine, more antioxidants, and a fuller body come along with it.
